Mary Sivley

Originally from the Midwest, Mary trained and competed successfully for over 10 years within the AQHA in Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter under saddle, and Hunter Hack. After training and competing in multiple disciplines she discovered the ideal horses for her use were "all around" horses that were versatile, confident and willing in every situation and discipline, and carries this thru to her training today. After hosting multiple 4-H clinics and watching her students go on to achieve great success, she found another calling, teaching lessons and passing her knowledge along to her students.

After a move to East Tennessee in 2001, she is offering private lessons, and horse training along with group lessons and show team training with her training partner Heather Mooney.

Heather Mooney

Heather Mooney is a certified riding instructor who has been training and competing in Southern California for the past 6 years.  A Knoxville native, Heather decided to return to the area and teach riding lessons with an emphasis on safety as well as fun. She received her certification from Richard Shrake, an icon as a professional in the horse industry for over 40 years.  Heather rode with Richard at the world famous Flag is Up Farms, home to Monty Roberts and his family.  In 2007 she showcased her horses’ talent over fences and on the flat resulting in the award of the Mary Horn Perpetual Trophy for top adult rider.

She teaches beginning Western to advanced English lessons. “My goal is to have every lesson start and end on a positive note for both the horse and rider!”
